PELO YA PHIRI

This collection celebrates the life of Mr. Phiri John Mashilo and who he was, a man whose life and lessons continue to resonate deeply with all who knew him. It serves as a celebration to the wisdom he shared and the values he embodied, reminding us of the meaningful life lessons we carry with us. As we reflect on his journey, we also revisit the places that shaped him and the spaces that helped make him who he was. 

Though he is no longer with us in body, the places he once filled remain rich with his presence. They echo with laughter, love, and the countless memories we hold dear. That is why this shoot takes place in Ntwane, a location so close to the heart of the Mashilo family, a space that speaks to the essence of who he was and the legacy he left behind.

This collection is also a call to live and create from a place of love, to be courageous in the face of fear, to keep showing up even when it’s difficult, and above all, to rise each time life knocks you down because “O khuname, ga wa oa” — you may bend, but you do not break.
