About The Founder

Bonolo Mashilo is the Founder and CEO of BMashiloDesigns, one of South Africa’s most celebrated fashion houses. Trained at the Tshwane University of Technology and the Villioti Fashion Institute, she has spent a decade building a brand as bold and purposeful as the women who wear it.

In 2026, BMashiloDesigns celebrates 10 years in the industry. Beyond the milestone, Bonolo’s proudest achievement is employing nearly 30 individuals and nurturing the next generation of fashion talent through the BMashiloDesigns Institute.

Her mission is simple but powerful — to revolutionise South African fashion by championing inclusivity, representation, and the celebration of Black women. Through every design, she creates a space where all women feel seen, celebrated, and unstoppable.
