Best known for her exquisite designs and signature style, Bonolo has cemented herself as a leading figure in the South African fashion industry. With a passion for fashion that has been evident from an early age, Bonolo made the bold decision to resign from her corporate career as a fashion buyer in 2017 to pursue her dreams of starting her own design studio. Despite the initial challenges and uncertainty, Bonolo’s vision and determination led her to establish BMashilo Designs in her garage at home.

From these humble beginnings, Bonolo’s business has grown exponentially, with BMashilo Designs now boasting two offices and an online store that has become a go-to destination for fashion lovers across South Africa. As a fashion designer, Bonolo has become well known for her bespoke designs and exquisite attention to detail, dressing high-profile clients such as Busisiwe Mkhwebane, The Public Protector of Mzansi, and local superstars like Makhadzi. Her work has also graced the small screen, with her designs featured on the popular television show, The Queen Mzansi.
